In the news:  Weak economic reports are keeping mortgage pricing strong, which means rates stay low, for the time being.  Despite intraday up- and down-ticks, mortgage pricing is still in a general trend toward improvement, albeit beginning to look neutral, with the big adjustment for Fannie's and Freddie's guarantee fee increase (that will be in place for ten years to pay for the two month extension of the Social Security payroll tax holiday and the extension of unemployment benefits) not levied yet and will directly cost borrowers starting in the next couple of months.
